FREE ROOM & BOARD for your COOKING SKILLS
We are a nice working couple in our 50s with children grown and living away. We are looking for someone who can join us in our wonderful home in Wimbledon Village to:
1) cook pleasant evening meals -- weekdays only -- for us and granny --
2) and who is fluent in French to help up improve our conversation skills.
In addition to cooking and conversing, you would do some food shopping and oversee, as necessary, our au pair. She takes care of granny (including making her breakfast and lunch), irons and cleans the house and kitchen so you wouldn't be burden with those responsibilities.
In exchange for your services, you would receive room and board in our recently renovated, 4-story, 4-bedroom home with excellent working kitchen. You would have your own bedroom with television and wireless internet access and share a large bathroom with shower/tub with the au pair. We live in a very upscale, desirable neighborhood just minutes away from the 1,000+ acre Wimbledon Common with its many walking, running and riding trails. We are a 20-minute ride on the London Underground to the center of the city.
This is the perfect situation for someone who needs a place to live, rent-free, and has a job or other activities during the day. Your time would be your own until you need to prepare dinner. We do travel once a month, and at that time, you may be required to help out more on weekends, when we are way.
Requirements: a very good cook. able to plan and execute healthy meals. fluent in French. positive disposition and the ability to get along with others. |
