Day 1
Full of the festive cheer we leave London and head southwards to The New Forest. We arrive in Brockenhurst, charming village surrounded by open heathland and ancient woods. After we sign in the inn, we still have the whole afternoon for a bit of gentle walking around to get an appetite up for the dinner. The New Forest is a genuine walker's paradise with many wonderful routes. Expect to meet with ponies grazing freely as they have done for centuries. Why not to round the day off with a leisurely pint ... some training for tomorrow :)
If you would like to join us later in the day or make your own travel arrangements to Brockenhurst, that’s absolutely fine, just let us know and we will deduct the train ticket from the costs for you. There is a regular train service from Waterloo station till very late in the evening.
Day 2
Full and active day round The New Forest, if you are up for it. There can be few other places in England where the ancient landscape has remained so unchanged. When William The Conqueror named the area his "new hunting forest", little could he imagine that nearly 1000 years later his "Nova Foresta" would still retain its mystery and romance.
So after a hearty breakfast, let’s lace up walking shoes, put on mittens and wholly scarves and head out for more fun. Or would you prefer to escape to the magic of the forest on the horseback or on the bike exploring traffic free tracks that lead right into the heart of the forest? Options are open.
So easy to lose track of time completely ... But don’t forget the time is ticking so let’s head back to get ready for the "big night".
Tonight we join the locals for a night of partying to bring in the new year. Generous buffet dinner and disco dance till you can keep your feet. The Bubbly and the fireworks will help give us a night to remember (or not!?)
Day 3
Today we have a lazy morning to cope with the late night the night before, even the breakfast is served to us in our rooms. A bit of indulgence can’t cause any harm :)
Having spent the night in grandeur, don’t forget now it is the time to share your New Year resolutions, so we know what to ask about next year.
Then once again “Happy New Year” to everybody before we make our way back to London.
